By adding insulation testing capabilities to the ubiquitous digital multimeter, electricians are always equipped for insulation testing, making it a more routine part of their predictive maintenance routine. The FLIR IM75 helps you do faster troubleshooting and repairs without the need for additional tools.

For Insulation Resistance Testing:

The combination meter is rugged: 2 meter drop-tested and IP-54-rated. It includes a digital insulation resistance tester (or megohmmeter) with 5 different test voltages (50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V) for measuring resistance (or ‘megging’) from 4MΩ to 20 GΩ with a resolution as low as 0.001MΩ and accuracy down to ±1.5%.

To make at-a-glance go or no-go testing easier, a 2-color LED indicator with Compare Mode makes pass/fail determinations easy to perform and easy to notice with a green/red Pass/Fail LED indicator on the face of the meter. The IM75 features several test modes not typically found in compact, handheld insulation testers including: Polarization Index, Dielectric Absorption and Earth Bond Resistance.

The IM75 allows users to add a variety of insulation tests to routine diagnostics performed either instantly, continuously or over a timed duration for in-depth assessment.

DMM Always Ready:

This full-function, True RMS 1000V-range digital multimeter measures AC and DC voltage, capacitance, frequency (ACV), and has VFD mode, diode-test, and continuity check capabilities. Designed rugged to handle daily use, the FLIR IM75 digital multimeter offers both safety and versatility—without compromising high performance.

VFD Mode: The FLIR IM75 is engineered to deliver accurate readings and diagnostics, no matter the environmental conditions. In industrial environments where motors, pumps and other processing equipment are controlled by switching electronics and variable frequency drives (VFDs), it can be difficult to test accurately when distorted waveforms exist on electronic loads. The IM75’s VFD Mode uses a low-pass filter to ensure precision readings even when signals are noisy.

Data Recording and Bluetooth Connectivity: When extended testing is required for trending and analysis, up to 99 readings can be recorded in the IM75’s internal memory. For extended data monitoring and remote viewing, the FLIR IM75 connects via Bluetooth to compatible smartphones and tablets using the FLIR Tools Mobile app.

Now, you can monitor electrical readings on equipment in closed cabinets, with dangerous moving components, or with extreme temperatures – all from a safe distance. The 4,000-count dual display with analog bargraph is LED-illuminated making it bright and easy to read anywhere.
