Electrical Equipment Testing

The TNT-EL ensures safe testing of sensitive electronic equipment, addressing concerns about potential damage from 500V DC insulation tests. The TnT series avoids overvoltage risks by shorting Active and Neutral internally and testing to Earth, making it safer than traditional insulation testers. For equipment with surge protection devices, the test voltage can be adjusted to 250V to prevent tripping. This adaptability ensures safe and accurate testing in diverse scenarios.

Leakage Test

If insulation testing raises concerns, the TNT-EL offers an alternative with its Leakage Test, compliant with the AS/NZS 3760 standard. The Leakage Test applies power to the Device Under Test (DUT) and measures leakage current imbalance. Results are displayed digitally, with clear Pass/Fail indicators for easy interpretation.

Earth Continuity Test

The TNT-EL conducts earth continuity tests at approximately 200mA, avoiding higher current tests that could damage delicate or sensitive equipment, as per AS/NZS 3760 guidelines.

3 Phase Testing (Optional Adaptor Required)

The TNT series supports 3 Phase appliance testing using an adaptor connection. Insulation tests (500V) are conducted from Phase to Earth. Note that 3 Phase Leakage testing requires a different tester—contact Rapid-Tech Equipment for assistance.
