The Kyoritsu 5711 is always ON = ready to use. This is a big safety advantage because you do not have to remember to switch it ON and it always indicates the dangerous presence of voltage.
Even though the Kyoritsu 5711 is always ON it does not affect the battery life due to it’s use of a special low power circuit. The battery life > 1 year (standby) .
