Clampmeters are electrical testers with jaws that are able to clamp around an electrical conductor. They were originally designed as a single-purpose instrument for measuring AC current but now include DC current and inputs for test leads and can measure a wide range of electrical measurements. The advantage of Clampmeters is that they allow current measurements on live conductors without circuit interruption.
