CEM DT-6650 Multifunction Installation Tester
With the DT-6650 multifunction installation tester you can get assurance that the permanent installation was performed correctly and safely with the software system and ensures that the safety of the electrical installations in domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Because of a dual display, self-explaining symbols, and a high angle of view, the installation analyser facilitates quick and comfortable measuring procedures. The low impedance mode supports testing earth conductors, main earthing busbars and protective conductors on their low impedance conduct.
The measuring range of the installation analyser for low impedance tests covers 0…2000 Ω with a resolution of 0.001…1 Ω. The most important function of the DT-6650 multifunction installation tester might be the measurement of the insulation resistance. Therefore voltage is applied on the electric conductors, in order to detect any leakage current during the insulation test. These leakage currents can be so low that they might be overseen by protection systems and, at worst, might lead to a fire. The DT-6650 multifunction installation tester can perform tests on test voltages of 125 V, 250 V, 500 V or 1000 V, each with a current of 1 mA.
The earthing measurement can be executed irrespective of the power source. In order to set all facilities and current circuits of a power supply unit to the same electric potential (reference point) and as a protection from short-circuit current, the earthing resistance should be as low on impedance as possible. With a measurement range between 0 …. 2000 Ω and a resolution of 0.01…1 Ω the DT-6650 multifunction installation tester all requirements for a reliable and detailed measurement of the earthing resistance.
