EXTECH SDL550 Humidity Content Meter/Datalogger

The Extech SDL550 displays and stores Humidity Content readings, Air Temperature, Dew Point Temperature, and Wet Bulb Temperature. Logged data readings are stored on an SD card for transfer to a PC. In addition, an RS232 port allows data streaming to a PC

The Extech SDL550 monitors moisture in Grain, Corn, Rice, Cotton, Paper, and other materials. It comes complete with a 600mm Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Probe with Replaceable Probe Head and inner filter. The SDL550 measures Moisture Content, Air Temperature, Dew Point and Temperature. Moisture content measurement from 10 to 95%. The Datalogger Function will date/time stamp and store readings on an SD card in Excel format for easy transfer to a PC. Adjustable data sampling rate from 1 to 3600 seconds. It stores 99 readings manually and 20M readings via 2G SD card. Type K/J Thermocouple input for high temperature measurements. Large backlit dual LCD display simultaneously displays moisture content and temperature. Record/Recall MIN, MAX, Data Hold, and Auto Power Off functions. Complete with Moisture Content Probe with 4.9ft (1.5m) cable, sensor cap, SD card, 9V battery and soft carrying case.

Datalogging with the SD card.

When an SD card is used for the first time in the Extech SDL550 a folder is created on the card and named HTB01. Up to 99 spreadsheet documents (each with 30,000 readings) can be stored in this folder.

When datalogging begins a new spreadsheet document named HTB01001.xls is created on the SD card in the HTB01 folder. The data recorded will be placed in the HTB01001.xls document until 30,000 readings are reached.

If the measurement session exceeds 30,000 readings, a new document will be created (HTB01002.xls) where another 30,000 readings can be stored. This method continues for up to 99 documents, after which another folder is created (HTB02) where another 99 spreadsheet documents can be stored. This process continues in this same fashion with folders HTB03 through HTB10 (last allowable folder).

RS-232/USB PC Interface For streaming of data to a PC via the RS232 Output jack, the optional 407001-USB kit (RS232 to USB cable and driver CD) along with the 407001 software (available free at www.extech.com/sdl550) are required.
