<p>The Kyoritsu 5711 is always ON = ready to use. This is a big safety advantage because you do not have to remember to switch it ON and it always indicates the dangerous presence of voltage.<br />
Even though the Kyoritsu 5711 is always ON it does not affect the battery life due to it’s use of a special low power circuit. The battery life &gt; 1 year (standby) .<br />
