The Tenmars ST-130 Noise Dose Meter (dosimeter) is a specialised Sound Level Meter that is designed to measure the noise exposure that a person has been subject to over a period of time; the measurement are normally performed in order to meet current Health and Safety regulations. Noise dose meters are also referred to as personal noise dosimeters or personal dosimeters.

With six built-in standard dose measurement setups (OSHA, MSHA, DOD, ACGIH, ISO85, ISO90), the Tenmars ST-130 Noise Dose Meter is the ideal instrument for performing OSHA and IEC Noise accumulation surveys. This noise dosimeter comes with a USB download cable and CD software for downloading the measured data. The meter can also be used in SLM (Sound Level meter Mode)

Tenmars TM-100 Sound Level Meter Calibrator

The Tenmars TM-100 Sound Level Meter Calibrator is a hand-held device that emits an audible tone of very accurate level and frequency. Before making sound level measurements the Calibrator is fitted over the meter’s microphone and the reading is either checked manually by the user or automatically by the meter.

Checking a meter’s calibration is good practice and for many applications it is essential. Most regulations demand that the meter is verified before making measurements. Records should be kept of this as evidence that the correct procedures have been followed.

A Calibrator should meet the standard IEC 60942 to either Class 1 or Class 2. The Class 1 calibrator is a little more accurate than the Class 2. In general, if you have a Class 1 (or Type 1) Sound Level Meter then you should use a Class 1 Calibrator. If you have a Class 2 Sound Level Meter you can use either a Class 2 or Class 1 Calibrator.

The Tenmars TM-100 is a Class 2 Sound Level Meter Calibrator for calibrating sound level meters at 94dB & 114dB & come with a 1/2 inch microphone adapter.

To Make A Measurement With The Tenmars TM-102 Sound Level Meter.

1. Open the Tenmars TM-102 battery cover and install a 9 Volt battery in battery compartment.
2. Turn on power and select the desired response time and weighting. If the sound source consists of short bursts or only catching sound peak, set response to FAST. To measure average sound level, use the slow setting. Select A weighting for general noise sound level and C weighting for
measuring sound level of acoustic material.
3. When MAX/ MIN (maximum, minimum hold) mode is chosen. The instrument captures and holds the maximum or minimum noise level . Press once to
select MAX value. Press again to select MIN value, Press again to exit the MAX/MIN mode. “MAX” or ” MIN” symbol disappears.
4. Turn off the instrument and remove the battery when it is not in use.

(1) Battery Loading Remove the battery cover on the back and put in one 9V Battery.

(2) Battery Replacement When the battery voltage drops below the operating voltage, mark appears . lf it appears , battery should be replaced with new one.

(3) AC Adapter Connection When the AC adapter is used, insert the plug of the adapter into the DC9V connector on the side panel.

1 .Wind is blowing across the microphone would bring additional extraneous noise. Once using the instrument in the presence of wind, it is necessary to mount the windscreen to filte the undesirable signals.

2.Calibrate the instrument before operation if the instrument was not in use for a long time or operation at bad environment.

3.Do not store or operate the instrument at high temperature and high humidity environment.

4.Keep microphone dry and avoid severe vibration.

5.Please take out the battery and keep the instrument in low humidity environment.

When not in use.

11 12 1.Open battery cover and install a 9 Volt battery in battery compartment.

2.Turn on power and select the desired response Time and weighting. lf the sound source consists of short bursts or only catching sound peak, set response to FAST. To measure average sound level, use the slow setting. Select A weighting for general noise sound level and C weighting for measuring sound level of acoustic material.

3.Select the desired Level

4.Hold the instrument comfortably in hand or fix on tripod and point the microphone at the suspected noise source, the sound pressure level will be displayed.

5.When MAX/ MIN (maximum, minimum hold) mode is chosen. The instrument captures and holds the maximum and minimum noise level for a long period using any of the time weighting and ranges. Press the MAX/ MIN button 2 seconds to clear the MAX/MlN Reading. ‘ MAX’ or”MlN” symbol disappears.

6.Turn OFF the instrument and remove battery when not in use
