The R&S HM8118 LCR Bridge/Meter offers not only measuring frequency, variable measuring voltage of 0.10VRMS to 1.50VRMS but also a bias function for voltage 0 to 5V and a current rating of 0 to 200mA. The multislope conversion technology and sophisticated generation of measuring signal allow stable capacitor measurement down to 1 femto farad. It offers measurements of non ideal characteristics of real components.
At push of one button it will measure Rs of series equivalent circuit or Rp of parallel equivalent circuit of a capacitor or an inductor. In addition to characterisation of passive components like L, C and R the R&S HM8118 can determine specific parameters of transformers, not only on fixed frequencies 50Hz/60Hz and 100Hz/120Hz but in whole range of 20Hz to 200KHz. All setting and measurements can be operated manually by front panel controls and may also be via built-in galvanically isolated, dual interface (USB and RS232).
The Rohde & Schwarz HM8118 LCR bridge offers measurements of non ideal characteristics of real components.
