The RD7200 – Accurate locating across multiple industries

Construction

Accurate and simple to use, the RD7200 comes with eight active and three passive frequencies that cover the majority of site locating tasks. A rugged, IP65 rated casing along with a high contrast screen make it suitable for use in all weather conditions.

Power

In complex power environments, with multiple signals from high voltage equipment and cables, Radiodetection’s Dynamic Overload Protection reduces the effect of interference and Power Filters can be used to trace a single target line amongst multiple cables.

Water and Pipeline:

A wide choice of active frequencies allow conductive pipes to be traced for long distances.

Where sondes or cameras are used to survey pipes made from a variety of materials (including cast iron, clay, fiber, concrete and brick) the four RD7200 sonde frequencies are ideal for quickly locating and tracing their position.

Pipes with Cathodic Protection System can be followed using the CPS passive mode. CPS compass mode ensures alignment with the target pipeline.

Telecom

TheRD7200 features higher frequencies to locate high impedance lines and sonde frequencies for duct and conduit tracing. Higher frequencies can also be used to trace sheathed domestic cables without grounding connections.

Cable sheath faults can be located to within 4” (10cm) using 8kHz Fault Find mode with a Radiodetection A-Frame.

The new Genny 4 (optional), with a new integrated logic design, provides a class-first simultaneous dual-frequency signal output design. Alongside the familiar 33kHz locate signal for general purpose locates, the Genny 4 transmits a second frequency designed to facilitate location of small diameter cables such as telecoms and street lighting, including spurs. For tricky locates, the new power boost function enables the locate signal to travel further and deeper, and couple onto utilities more easily.

What’s more, C.A.T Manager can reproduce the original factory calibration certificate, or any eCert certificates that it has produced, on demand.

This Windows® PC program allows plant, fleet and site managers to minimise down time by performing software upgrades, sending a service request or reproducing calibration certificates. To match individual preferences or intended use, C.A.T Manager can disable or enable C.A.T4 features such as depth estimation and warnings. User-editable fields enable plant/fleet codes and other details to be stored on the unit, simplifying records and traceability.

Genny4 Signal Boost
The Genny 4 offers, alongside its standard power mode, a Signal Boost feature which increases the output signal by up to 10 times allowing you to locate over extra distance and depth. Additionally, the simultaneous Small Diameter Locate frequency design aids detection of smaller cables including spurs.
