The CEM GD-3308 Combusitbie Gas Leak Detecor Combustible Gas Detector is a gas leak locating tool that is used to identify the presence of and isolate the source location of combustible gases such as methane, propane, butane, ammonia, carbon monoxide and many others(please see back of manual for a more complete list). Even low levels of combustible gas can be detected in seconds.

The micro MICRO Combusitbie Gas Leak Detecor detects gas concentrations through the use of an internal sensor. This sensor is heated during operation. As the heated sensor interacts with gases, the unit immediately indicates to the user that combustible gases are present.

The GD-3308 Combusitble Gas Leak Detecor indicates the presence of combustible gases with visual, audio and vibration feedback mechanisms. It can detect different combustible gas concentration 1-1 OOOppm or 0-1 OOOOppm by setting high and low concentration detection. When the tool senses the presence of a combustible gas, it will tell the operator by LCD display, triggering the appropriate audible alert or providing the appropriate vibration alert. The GD-3308 Combusitbie Gas Leak Detecor comes equipped with an attached flexible 16″probe hose.

Testo 317-3 Carbon Monoxide Meter

Carbon monoxide is a particularly dangerous gas. It is colorless, it is odorless and above all it is lethal. That’s why it is so important that CO checks are carried out by the book when a gas heating or boiler is being serviced or installed. This not only ensures that the heating or boiler is working properly, it also helps to prevent tragic accidents that occur as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Testo 317-3 CO meter. For measuring carbon monoxide in the surrounding air

A few seconds. That’s all it takes. That’s all it takes to be on the safe side and test the surrounding air for carbon monoxide. The testo 317-3 CO tester measures the concentration of carbon monoxide in ambient air and presents the readings on an easy-to-read display. The CO meter has both a visual and an audible alarm which are triggered when a threshold is crossed.

The CO meter comes with a carry case and a belt clip to ensure that you always have your meter on you and a strap which can be wrapped loosely around the wrist to prevent the meter from falling onto the floor.

CO measurement in the heated environment

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless and taste-free gas, but also poisonous. Its sources include the incomplete combustion of substances containing carbon (oil, gas and solid fuels, etc.).

If CO manages to get into the bloodstream through the lungs, it combines with haemoglobin thus preventing oxygen from being transported in the blood; this in turn will result in death through suffocation.

This is why it is necessary to regularly check CO emissions at the combustion points of heating systems and also in the surrounding areas.

The CEM DT-9883M Air Particle Counter has many functions. With it is possible to determine the number of particles in the size of 0.3, 2.5 and 10 µm. In addition to measuring the particles, the fine dust it can also measure the PM 2.5 and PM 10 mass concentration. The mass concentration of the fine dust determines the weight of the particles in one cubic metre.

In addition the CEM DT-9883M can also determine the formaldehyde content in ppm. During this HCHO measurement, the temperature, the ambient humidity and the dew point are determined and displayed by it. As a further important feature it can all store data and it is therefore possible to evaluate all measured values after a measurement.

It is the ideal instrument for environmental safety and energy saving surveys.

CEM DT-9881M Air Particle Counter + Gas Detector provides fast, easy and accurate readings for particle count, It can measure Suspended Particle Concentration, GAS Formaldehyde (HCHO) & Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectection, air temperature & relative humidity &,most surface temperature measurements.

The CEM DT-9881M Air Particle Counter has many functions.

In addition the CEM DT-9881M can also determine the formaldehyde content in ppm. During this HCHO measurement, the temperature, the ambient humidity and the dew point are determined and displayed by it. As a further important feature it can all store data and it is therefore possible to evaluate all measured values after a measurement.

It is the ideal instrument for environmental safety and energy saving surveys.

Fast response measurements to 1000ppm

Checking co levels is as easy as pushing just 1 button on the Extech C010, which measures up to 1,000 ppm. An audible indicator increases in tone starting at 35 ppm. The higher the concentration of co, the faster the alarm will sound. Above 200 ppm, the alarm will sound continuously. A backlight on the display can be used for low light areas. Additional features include: max hold, data hold, and auto-power-off. The meter comes complete with a 9-volt battery, protective holster, and case.

How to use Refrigerant Gas Leak Detector (C-380)

Power-Up & Reset the instrument
Press ON/OFF once to turn on the refrigerant leak detector. The sensor will heat up for 1.5 minutes and you have to wait for proper functionality. Press the ON/OFF again to reset the ambient concentration for the unit. After this time reset the ambient concentration for the unit by pressing the ON/OFF button again.

Sensitivity Adjustment
When the unit is switched ON it is set to high sensitivity by default. To change the level of sensitivity to LOW, press the “Lo Sensitivity” button. To switch the unit back to high sensitivity, press the “Hi Sensitivity” button

Automatic Ambient Setup
This “ambient concentration reset function” sets the unit sensors to ignore the ambient concentrations of refrigerant present. When turned ON the unit’s sensor, the instrument using itsAutomatic Ambient Setupto set itself to ignore the level of refrigerant present at the tip. Only a level or concentration great than this will cause the unit to alarm. During the gas leak operations, resetting the instrument using the Ambient Reset Feature programs the circuit to ignore the level of refrigerant present at the tip of the sensor.

Measuring gas leak with C-380 instrument
Find out the suspected leak source and position the tip of the sensor probe within 1/4 inch (6 mm) of this. Slowly move the sensor probe past each possible leakage point. When the unit detects a leak source an audible tone will sound and visual indicators will light on the LED leak indicator display, appearing from left to right. The visual indicator will be green to orange to red (red being the highest concentration, green the lowest). When the unit signals a leakage, pull the probe away from the leak for a moment and then bring it back slowly to pinpoint the location. If the refrigerant leak is large setting the sensitivity switch to LOW (see sensitivity adjustment) will make it easier to find the exact site of the leak. Return the sensitivity switch to HIGH before searching for any additional leaks. When you’ve finished testing for leaks turn the unit OFF and store it in a cool, dry, clean place to protect the sensor and unit from any possible damage.
