KEP P-900 Underground Cable Route Locator

The KEP P-900 Underground Cable Route Locator is designed to perform the following:

  • finding the location of the underground cable lines and power cables with an inductive method;
  • determining the depth of the cables’ position;
  • finding the location of the short-circuits in the cable veins;
  • finding the location of the insulation faults in the high voltage power cables with an acoustic method.

    KEP P-900 Underground Cable Route Locator

    When searching with the inductive method the KEP P-900 Underground Cable Route Locator must be operated in conjunction with an additional surge wave generator, capable of producing audio frequencies of 1024±1 Hz or 2048±2 Hz, providing an output power of 200 W in a range of loads from 0.5 to 200 Ohms (for example, Audio Generator LFG-2500).

    When searching with an acoustic method the receiver must be operated in conjunction with an additional pulse generator with voltage of 10.5 – 32 kV and the energy of 150-1920 J (for example, GAUV-6).
