The EV-TEST100 is a 1- and 3-phase test adapter with type 2 connector for simulation of charge levels and to check the effectiveness of protective measures at e-charging stations for electric cars (EVSE systems - Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment)

The EV-TEST100 in combination with appropriate HT multifunction instrument simulates an electric vehicle connected to the charging station, allowing you to verify the EVSE full functionality and electrical safety.

EV-TEST100 is able to test charging stations with charging modes 2 and 3 and Type 2 connector (European standard).

The EV-Test100 was specially developed as an accessory for testing e-charging stations.

It can be used to simulate charge states and to check the effectiveness of protective measures at type 3 e-charging stations with a type 2 connector.

The simple handling in combination with the Combi G3 or Combi G2 is guaranteed.

Measurement functions

Universal 4mm sockets for connection to a 1- or 3-phase installation tester using test leads (banana plugs)

Separate phase display with three LEDs for easy voltage checking

Proximity Pilot (PP) rotary switch for simulating different current carrying capacities of charging cables

Rotary switch error to simulate a short circuit between CP and PE (state E = error)

Simulation of PE fault (ground fault)

Connection for the CP signal output to check communication between the adapter (= simulated electric vehicle) and the charging station

Type 2 plug for connection to the charging station even with a permanently connected charging cable

Vehicle simulation (CP): The various vehicle states A to D can be simulated using a rotary switch (according to IEC 61851)

Cable simulation (PP): The various codings for charging cables with 13, 20, 32 and 63 A as well as “no cable connected” can be simulated using a rotary switch

Error simulation: Simulation of a short circuit between CP and PE using a rotary switch (state E = error)

Display of phase voltages via LEDs

Testing of e-charging stations even with a permanent

connected charging cable

For vehicle simulation (CP):

According to IEC 61851, the states A, B, C, D and E can be simulated. The various vehicle states are set using the rotary switch.

State A: no vehicle connected

Condition B: Vehicle connected but not ready for charging

Condition C: Vehicle connected and ready for charging, ventilation of the charging area not required

Condition D: Vehicle connected and ready for charging, ventilation of the charging area required

State E: Error: Short circuit CP-PE via internal diode

For cable simulation (PP):

The different coding for charging cables with 13, 20, 32 and 63 A can be simulated. It is also possible to simulate the -no cable- state. The different charging cables are simulated by switching different resistors between PP and PE using the rotary switch. According to IEC 61851, the following values are possible:

No cable: ∞ Ohm

13 A cable: 1.5 k Ohm

20 A cable: 680 Ohm

32 A cable: 220 Ohm

63 A cable. 100 ohms

The HT Instruments NEPTUNE Multimeter/Insulation Tester is a mix of technology that includes an instrument for electrical safety testing (insulation up to 1000V and continuity with 200mA), an Harmonics analyzer and a True RMS multimeter.

HT Instruments NEPTUNE Key Features:

it can quickly measure insulation up to 1000V, just like top-of-the-range testers.

50,100,250,500,1000VDC Insulation test voltages.

it measures continuity of protective conductors with 200mA to solve the most common problems related to masses.

measure Inrush currents, Harmonics and THD%, just like top-of-the-range power quality analyzers.

with a wide range of external clamp transducers it can measure AC TRMS, DC, AC+DC current and Inrush current, starting from 1mA up to 3000A.

compare each measurement with the limits prescribed by the Guidelines and I provide a clear result OK or NOT OK

it’s a multimeter with functions only available if using top-of-the-range instruments.

CAT IV 600V, CAT III 1000V Safety Rating

Similar to the Fluke 1587 & Fluke 1577

ISO 9000 CALIBRATION CERTIFICATE INCLUDED

The HT Italia HT70 pen voltage detector permits both to quickly verify the presence of AC voltage on any type of electrical installation (sockets, cables, fuses, switchboards, etc.) with and without direct contact and also to perform phase sequence indication and conformity test on generic three phase plants by using red and green fixed and blinking LED indications. HT Italia HT70 is designed according to IEC/EN61010-1 safety standard in CAT IV 1000V.
