The Extech EX710 Clampmeter features multiple functions in one convenient package to allow workers, such as service technicians, to carry only one meter into the field. The EX710 will measure AC current up to 800 amps with a maximum resolution of 0.01 amps. It also measures AC/DC voltage, frequency, resistance, capacitance, diode, and continuity. Its wide-opening, 30mm circular jaw can fit around cables up to 500 MCM. The Extech also features a peak hold function that measures inrush currents and other surges. The 1-millisecond response time is fast enough to pinpoint transience that can trip circuit breakers or blow fuses. From homeowner electrical and HVAC diagnostics to more industrial applications such as monitoring heavy AC and DC current draw on aircraft during maintenance procedures, the EX710 delivers accurate results.
Easy-to-Use & Durable
The EX710 features a large, bright, high-contrast display with backlit LEDs, making it easy to read even in low light conditions. The meter also features a data hold function, which “freezes” data in the display. The auto power-off function will help preserve the life of your batteries. For additional comfort, the EX710’s ergonomically designed, double-molded housing offers a comfortable grip for one-handed operation. Though it only weighs about 11 ounces (303 grams), it’s durable enough to stand up to constant use. The Extech EX710 measures 229 x 80 x 49mm (HxWxD), and uses one 9-volt battery.
